The EEMP and Tool will operationalize program-level climate investments that build long-term reserve funding to reduce emissions, save operating dollars while increasing comfort to occupants and ensure building assets are maintained in a State of Good Repair. The implementation of this Plan could reduce 5,700 tonnes by 2030 and will be presented in more detail to Council as part of the 2025 budget process. Importantly, the methodology underpinning this housing EEMP can be replicated across all Peel’s Services and Programs.
