Climate Resilient Burlington: A Plan for Adapting to Our Warmer, Wetter and Wilder Weather, which was approved by City Council in 2022 is a corporate and a community plan. Annual updates on the 32 actions are provided to City Council.

Durham Region
Durham’s Community Climate Adaptation Plan sets out a vision, goals and actions to help Durham Region adapt to climate change. This strategy was developed in collaboration with Durham Region, local municipalities, conservation authorities, energy utilities, and other local stakeholders.
Guelph
Guelph's Climate Change Adaptation Plan is under development. The plan has been drafted and it is currently being circulated for internal review and will be submitted to Council in September.
Halton Hills
The Town of Halton Hills developed the Climate Change Adaptation Plan (CCAP) in order to minimize the negative impacts of climate change, as well as take advantage of opportunities to strengthen the Town’s resilience to climate change.

Markham
The City of Markham’s Municipal Energy Plan (MEP) – Getting to Zero is a comprehensive long-term city-wide energy plan with the objective to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The goal of the Municipal Energy Plan is to improve energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to achieve net zero as outlined in the Greenprint, Markham’s Community Sustainability Plan.

Mississauga's Climate Change Action Plan, 2019 is a corporate and community plan with mitigation and adaptation actions.
Oshawa
Oshawa participated in the development and adopted the Durham Region's Community Climate Adaptation Plan, 2016.

A draft Climate Resiliency Strategy – Climate Ready Ottawa is available. The final is expected in 2025.

Vaughan
The Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Framework (2022) is a background paper created as part of the ongoing Official Plan Review process. The City of Vaughan is committed to develop a Climate Adaptation Plan as an outcome of the Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Framework.
Waterloo Region
The Region’s Community Climate Adaptation Plan was approved by Council in 2019. The plan improves Waterloo Region's resilience to extreme weather and climate change impacts through increased local adaptive capacity and collaboration among community stakeholders.
Whitby
The Climate Emergency Response Plan includes corporate actions for the Town, as well as community actions for Whitby service providers, businesses and residents to help reduce and prevent the risks of climate change. The Plan clearly outlines the resources and the timing required to implement each of the actions.
