| Green Development Policies (GDS)- Community | Town of Halton Hills Green Development Standards v3 is a point based GDS. All applications must identify the metrics they will implement that achieves a minimum of at least 20 points. | ||
| Net Zero Municipal Facilities Commitment/Standard | Climate Emergency Declaration sets a goal for the Town to be net zero by 2030, including corporate facilities and developing plans for each facility to achieve net zero. Current projects include the Town Hall Carbon Design brief and Net Zero Ice Arena. It is estimated a 12% reduction in GHG emissions when the two projects are completed.
